Mission-driven innovation in aging & longevity

We're hearing more about '#missiondriven' #innovation as #ESG goes mainstream and even the most radical free marketeers realize there's little point in being wealthy in a world that's on fire. Nobody can deny the power of the market, so let's focus it on solving society's more interesting and pressing problems.

I had the opportunity to share what this means for us in The Collective at the recent Aged Care Innovation event based in Australia. The Collective is currently working with partners from US, Canada and Japan on seven Missions, such as closing the #caregiving gap, reducing the #digitaldivide and helping people age in place. We're following a 4-stage process to turn these high level goals into social and market impact, with work so far mainly about mapping who's doing what and who's doing it well. Next steps will be plugging gaps - supporting promising startups and / or building what's missing.
